Fleetwood has been one of the most popular RV manufacturers for over half a century. Despite financial difficulties that plagued the entire RV industry, Fleetwood emerged from bankruptcy proceedings in 2009 as an acquisition of the American Industrial Partners private equity firm. AIP then used Fleetwood as a founding division of its Allied Specialty Vehicles, which has since acquired the prestigious Monoco and Holiday Rambler brands from Navistar International.
For decades, Fleetwood provided coverage of everything from budget to luxury class A rigs with brands like Pace Arrow, Southwind, and Bounder. Some of those badges, including Southwind and Bounder, are still in production, while others have been retired in favor of new lines.
Fleetwood currently offers small class A motorhomes in their Bounder Classic, Terra, and Storm lines, in addition to longer rigs in their Southwind and Bounder lines. There are also a couple relatively small class A Diesel Fleetwood motorhomes available.
